Funding Long Term Care  Lunch and Learn
Ever wonder what your options are for long term care and how do you qualify? Join this informative class in which you will learn about Medicare, Medicaid, VA Benefits, and Long Term Care Insurance. Lunch is provided if you pre-register by April 30. Minimum of 10 participants pre-registered to hold class.

Your Weight Workshop
This session will define “overweight” and “obese” as defined by the Body Mass Index scale. Medical conditions and risk factors of overweight including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, musculo-skeletal problems, etc. will be discussed. Participants will also explore weight loss goals to reach a healthy weight through lifestyle changes in diet and exercise and to reduce risk factors and potential health problems. Participants will develop an action plan that suits their needs and abilities. Minimum of 10 participants pre-registered and paid to hold class.

How to Help Your Child Move on to Middle School
The transition from elementary school to middle school is an exciting and stressful time for students and parents. This program will help you understand how middle school is different. Learn organization and study skill tips as well as ways to make this transition a success!

Healthy Eating Workshop
This session will include basic information about the 5 food groups including vegetables, complex carbohydrates, proteins, dairy products and fruit. The new “plate method,” reading food labels and creating healthy menus will be discussed. Participants will develop an action plan that suits their needs and abilities. Minimum of 10 participants pre-registered to hold class.
